liberals say 'you're just hatin on the hate until you can't feel the hate-hate that's hatin out yer hater' an interesting rhetorical concept that I won't have time to think about if someone's bein attacked

sittin one day just a thinkin bout the planet - that ol environment
and all of them weirdo hippies who think they can try to save it
then in a burst it occured to me
hey earth that's where i grow my beans and corn
maybe i could pitch in a little more
well i like 4wheel drivin but i'm burnin too much gas
so i'll take a vehicle with less of a footprint and give it just a touch of country class
put the bronco up on craigslist - built a lift kit for an '06 prius
changed it over to 4wd with 4speed stick shift and 30 inch tires
hit the woods and i tear it up - got the beer in my reusable plastic cup now
I don't know if I can do the Green Party but I'll betcha I can party green
took my big ol prius to a big keg party and i was thinkin on the way
about all of those little red cups we'd all be throwin away
i thought hey i can move in time- there's a yard sale up on the county line got a plastic cup it was made in the 80s and a nickel will make it mine
I'm the green scene at the bonfire with my reusable plastic cup
and best of all it's got a lid and a handle for when i get too drunk
gettin 50 miles to the gallon when i'm roarin down the trail
and them 30 inchers throw some clean efficient rooster tail
got a rebuilt dana 44 got a snorkel up on top
and it makes a most surprisin noise when take off from the parkin lot

Well they worked together for 7 years, Adam and his friends
at the steel ball bearing factory out on the south end
and in that time they’d never heard a story about his life
and Adam’s friends would wonder if he’d ever had a wife
til one year at xmas he did somethin that they’d hardly believe
walked into the room holdin his man said this here’s my husband Steve
well the group looked Steven up and down, they figured Adam must know best
but they thought they’d ask some questions and put Steven to the test
Can you stack the hay – Can you move the plow
drag sandbags to the levy when the rain is pourin down
can you give yourself to your fellow man when it’s time to save the town
Steven said I can oh yes I can – well then you must be a man
later came the question about he and Steve had met
well they’d been workin at a cattle ranch on down by Lafayette
Steven spent his evenins with the boorish old cowpokes
where Adam was the only one who understood his jokes
They’d steal out of the bunkhouse to the back barn under cover of night
Fall into a warm lovers embrace while the barnboards let in little streaks of moonlight
til Steven said to Adam ‘Man before we let it go
there’s a few old country things that I have got to know’
Well this america’s got lotsa gay men who are turnin out to be your model country citizens
and we americans ain’t known for patience with hearin advice about who to spend our lives with
Adam and Steve they’re like you and me just american men lookin for an american … dream

everybody's got a fun sign and we're feelin real neat
but there's another group who really came to rumble
all dressed in their all black clothes
and when they start to smashin windows and to lightin the fires all the liberals say "OH NO!" but
Smashin up a bank all dressed in black - well that ain't no skin off my back
that bank burned half the folk in my town you can burn it right down to the ground
well ya might never do what the black block do
but they do it for freedom and they do it for you
so that good ol' smashy smashy is just alright with me
got a system that we're born into and we're tryin to work
but it was never made to serve us so we're goin berzerk
we know that we're killin off the planet but we'd trade it all to be employed
well it shouldn't take a bum like me to tell you that system oughta be destroyed
We ain't talkin bout comin to your house to ruin your things
we ain't talkin bout smashin up the hospital or library
no we're talkin bout meetin power face to face in the places it controls
we'll burn what won't break and build a new world from the ashes of the old
smashin windows might peak some of your fears but where the hell ya been for the last 30 years
